We are a highly organized group of dedicated Pokémon GO players in San Diego, united in our mission to cultivate a warm, inclusive, and supportive environment for all. Our community is comprised of driven individuals who exemplify strong leadership and teamwork in pursuit of our shared objectives. Pokémon GO San Diego was established and acquired by Ali Vongsathian on July 17, 2021, during the annual Pokémon GO Fest Global Event. Renowned as one of the largest community groups, our reach extends across all counties of San Diego and spans the globe. Commencing as a Facebook Messenger group named "Pokémon GO City Heights," originally designed for coordinating the use of premium raid passes in a designated area, we later transitioned to Discord and underwent a rebranding as "Pokémon GO San Diego" on August 17, 2021. With the introduction of Niantic, Inc.'s remote raid pass feature on April 27, 2020, our community's significance has become even more pronounced in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
